Rental and hire-purchase
You place vehicles in drivers’ hands, on straight rental or hire-purchase. Some are yours, others belong to partners who are waiting for their statement. Between deposits to track and shares to pay out, the month’s sums take you a weekend. Flot Pilot keeps every contract and every share, and your partners read their statement in their own portal without asking you.
Straight rental or hire-purchase: start from a template, then adjust the amount and the deposit. Each contract carries its own due dates. A debt or an advance is recalculated at every payment, and the driver sees in the app exactly what you see.
A hire-purchase contract counts the payments down to the last one. When the day comes, the vehicle passes to the driver and the history stays with you. In the meantime, you see for each vehicle what has been paid and what remains, without adding it all up again.
A partner who has put a vehicle, or a share of one, into your fleet gets their own login. There they see their share of each vehicle and the month’s statement, payouts already made included. They no longer need to ask you.
Each vehicle’s payments and expenses are already in Flot Pilot. Every partner’s monthly statement follows from them, share by share, and you record each payout once it is made. Export the figures if your accountant wants their own copy.
Drivers change, the vehicle stays. Its record keeps its papers and servicing, with a reminder before each deadline, whoever is driving it this month. When you move a driver to another vehicle, each one’s history stays intact.
Every expense is logged against the vehicle concerned. Its results sheet sets takings against costs over 30 and 90 days, and gives the net result and the cost per kilometre. You see which vehicle deserves replacing and which one deserves a twin.
